Time and Tide Wait for None

When the fishermen go deep into the sea for a catch, they probably know that they must get all their work done within time and that they must be back onshore before the high tide because neither time nor tide will wait for them to complete this job. Even the great Maratha warrior Shivaji Maharaj never disrespected time, thus he was able to come out victorious in many battles by using guerilla warfare at the perfect time.
The idiom “Time and Tide wait for none” is very apt since time immemorial. The world moves at a fast pace, so does time. Hence, we need to be vigilant and mindful enough to utilize time and make ourselves productive every day. Time once wasted can never be regained. It is the most precious thing that a person can have. With time, everything is possible, and it is just that we should have a dedication towards carefully utilizing it. We can earn our bread by using time, but we cannot earn time by using money. Each phase and time has its significance. Therefore, it is important and necessary to do work on time and not procrastinate things to make them a curse for us.
